CONTRA & SQUARE DANCE WITH BOB DALSEMER & BLUE EYED GIRL
Bob Dalsemer has taught and called traditional contras and squares throughout the country for nearly 40 years. For the past decade he has been principal instructor at the annual Mountain Folk Festival in Berea, KY and is the former Music & Dance Coordinator for the John C. Campbell Folk School. Blue Eyed Girl is a dynamic group of three young women whose roots are deep in traditional music and dance. Their high-energy dance numbers, sweet Appalachian vocal arrangements, and old-time rhythmic flair draw from the music passed down to them from their families. Pearl Shirley: fiddle & vocals
Laurel Willoughby: bass & vocals
Annie Fain Barralon: banjo, banjo uke & vocals
Geraud Barralon: guitar
