DESCRIPTION:Spend America's birthday in Hiawassee and watch the annual 4th of July Boat Parade on Lake Chatuge. Enjoy the rest of the day on this beautiful lake.\n\nBoaters line up in the Sunset Bay Cove for the parade beginning at 10:30 a.m. No wake\, and boats must fly a U.S. flag. Additional patriotic decorations are encouraged.  A $50 prize will be awarded for most creatively decorated boat\, and also for the most red\, white and blue.\n\nBoats will parade past the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds\, under the Anderson Bridge\, and past the Hiawassee Beach before disbanding. \n\nJudges will be positioned at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. \n\nAll boats must be pre-registered by 9am\, July 2nd to be considered for prizes.
