Campbell Folk School presents Contra Dance with Jesse Ederton & The Peachtree Serenaders\, Adults $7.00\, Ages 10-18 $5.00 and under 10 years old is free admission\n\nJesse Edgerton\, originally of Asheville\, NC\, is a hot young dance caller on the scene. He is known to call "bodacious" contra dances enjoyed by young and old.\n\nBeginners should come promptly at 8 pm\, since we start with easier dances and more teaching.\n\n\n\nThe Peachtree Serenaders will be bringing their blend of old time fiddle rags\, swing clarinet\, and Gypsy jazz. Ragtime pianist Mick Kinney and son Evan on fiddle performed often with clarinetist Stranger Malone who recorded the first Hillbilly Jazz in the 1920s . They are now joined by Dub Hudson on reeds\, a member of the Peachtree Strutters traditional jazz ensemble since the 1950s. Going strong at 86\, Dub has also played sax with countless R&B greats including Sam Cooke and Ray Charles so be ready to really swing your partner!
