DESCRIPTION:Brasstown Bald will be hosting a special day-long event exclusive for ticket-holders to celebrate the total Solar Eclipse on August 21\, 2017. For the first time in 99 years the moon will cross completely in front of the sun and traverse its way across the entire nation in just 100 minutes. Brasstown Bald is within the narrow 70 mile wide path of totality!\n\n\n\nAs part of the Great American Eclipse at the highest point in Georgia\, ticket-holders will witness the day turning a deep twilight\, the air cooling\, and sunset colors blooming on all sides. The moon's shadow will sweep over the landscape of Northeast Georgia at 1\,500 miles per hour. At complete totality a halo of ephemeral light will reveal a once in a lifetime glimpse at the sun's glowing outer atmosphere.
