ICL: Mountain Dulcimer Novice to Intermediate
Course Instructor - Delaine Sapp
Participants in this class should already know: tuning, timing, understanding the fretboard, strumming, reading tablature, play easy tunes and have a beginning knowledge of chording. Skills that will be taught this quarter include use of a capo, adding embellishments, playing tunes with multiple parts, alternate tunings, further skills in chording, and exploring different genres of music. You will need to bring a mountain dulcimer, pick, music stand, tuner, 3 ring binder, highlighter, and pen to every class.
A retired Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Delaine Sapp has been involved in instrumental music performance and instruction all her life. She has performed in international venues and received awards for her skill with several instruments and styles of music.
