NC Cooperative Extension - Agritourism Workshop Part 1
Are you a farmer who is considering implementing agritourism practices on your farm? Are you already engaging with agritourism activities and wondering how to improve upon them? Are you curious to know how agritourism can help you increase your farm profits? Then please join us for a two-part series on agritourism that will take place at the Clay County Chamber of Commerce Wednesdays June 22 and June 29 from 5:00- 7:00 p.m.
Agritourism on farms can include typical educational activities like farm tours, petting zoos and hayrides, but can also include activities like on-farm housing for tourists, pick-your-own berry farms and hosting wedding activities. There are a lot of factors to take into consideration when determining if agritourism is right for your farm. These classes will present on topics such as business planning, marketing, resources, liability and risk management for your agritourism operation.
If you would like to learn more please call the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Clay County Center at 828-389-6305.
